Good phone but probelm with extension phone bases and power supplies

Let me say first that I like this phone and have using it for a year with no problems. The quality of the reception is good with no static. I have no complaints about anything except the design of the extension phone base units. So overall I give it 5 stars, but the following problem is a nuisance and even though everything works fine now, it is not up to Panasonic standards. It was made in Malaysia. I'm not sure if that matters?

This is the first Panasonic product that I have had any problem with after 15-20 years of owning many different products.

The problem is that the adapter that plugs into the wall has a poorly designed connector that plugs into the base unit. This is the base unit that holds the extension phones, there are 3 total. I have to push it in and wiggle it around frequently to get them to start charging again. Or the angle of the phone in the holder has to be adjusted with masking tape to get the connection to be right. So it ends up sitting at an angle.

The 3 base units failed slowly over the last year, but after talking with Panasonic and figuring out the problem they are working fine now.

When I called Panasonic they wouldn't admit that it was a poor design and just one replacement, there are 3 total costs if not under warrantee.
